Walking the night with a pocketful of light, only to be escorted home by love itself. The bridge is a stubborn little ritual: reconstructing the whole night from memory just to reach the one who waits. The outro lands softly—moon down, noise down, delivered. When love arrives oversized… no refunds accepted. This tune was created from the Artwork of that drop-off moon. You asked for love, stars and the moon. I brought you moon alright. The first orchestration was carried out in F major key. However, the song longed for minor arrangements to be closer to my soul. So I’m back to the studio recording it today once more.
The ridge was a ribbon of fire and frost,
a narrow road through a sleeping world.
The city shimmered far below,
a constellation made by human hands.
Above me the broken crescent hung,
a wounded moon learning how to shine.
I whispered your name into the wind,
and the wind carried it forward like a lantern.
Every step was a promise I made
long before I knew your face.
The sky opened like a question,
and I answered with my breath.
I bring you stars and the moon,
carry dem light through the night for you.
I bring you silence and sky,
holdin’ the way that the dawn breaks through.
If the night is deep, I’ll walk it,
if the world is wide, I’ll cross it.
I bring you stars and the moon —
‘cause your love bring me home to you.
The wind carved stories along my coat,
old myths of wanderers and their impossible gifts.
The path trembled under my feet,
but the horizon held your shape.
Some journeys choose the traveler,
and some gifts burn the hands that hold them.
Still I walked, still I gathered light,
still I kept your name warm in my mouth.
Even if the sky should crack tonight,
even if the city forgets its glow,
I’ll keep walking this trembling ridge
with the brightness I saved for you.
And if the stars fall through my fingers,
if the moon dims in my arms,
I’ll rebuild the night from memory
and carry it to where you are.
No distance is too fragile,
no darkness too wide to cross.
I bring you stars and the moon,
carry dem light through the night for you.
I bring you silence and sky,
holdin’ the way that the dawn breaks through.
If the night is deep, I’ll walk it,
if the world is wide, I’ll cross it.
I bring you stars and the moon —
‘cause your love bring me home to you.
and then came the (oversize) moon,
and (awkward) silence.
