The Finnish people from the small rocky island inspire me. They are brave enough to withstand the seasons, storms, and burning sun beams. Call them – nutshells on the rocks – is my friendly nudge and admiration in the same sentence. For the past 6 month I was pondering around the idea how to bring together reggae tune and Nordic people, here comes the Nordic reggae tune. I honestly hope you’ll all enjoy the concept and the poetry in it.
Salt on my skin
Sand in my shoes
You laugh
You spin
I just watch you move
Pocket full of shells
Clacking in your hand
We’re drawing crooked hearts
Right into the sand
Nutshells on the rocks
You’re dancing
Bare feet keeping time with the tide
Every little step
I’m landing
Closer to your side
nutshells on the rocks
Moon rising
You throw your head back
Wild and free
If this is wrong
I like the timing
Let the night write you and me
You tap out a game
On a driftwood throne
Say my secret name
Like it’s yours to own
Fire making shadows
On your freckled face
I lose track of hours
In your lazy grace
Nutshells on the rocks
You’re dancing
Bare feet keeping time with the tide
Every little step
I’m landing
Closer to your side
nutshells on the rocks
Moon rising
You throw your head back
Wild and free
If this is wrong
I like the timing
Let the night write you and me
Sano
"Pitää hetkestä kiinni”
Iho lämmin
Suolainen suutellu suullasi
Simpukat kivillä
Tanssit
Paljain jaloin aallojen tahdissa
Joka askel
Mä tulen
Lähemmäs Sinua
Simpukat kivillä
Yö nousee
Heität pään taakse — vapaa kun tuuli
Jos tää on väärin
Anna olla
Pidetän oikeeksi tänään
You say
“Promise we’ll stay
Simple as this”
Sunburnt
Unafraid
Tasting the salt in a kiss (oh yeah)
Nutshells on the rocks
You’re dancing
Bare feet keeping time with the tide
Every little step
I’m landing
Closer to your side
nutshells on the rocks
Moon rising
You throw your head back
Wild and free
If this is wrong
I like the timing
Let the night write you and me
