Blackbird

Blackbird was influenced by the crow from the opposite office building rooftop. The guy is watching me like a hawk, sometimes descending for a couple of pistachios, always leaving one empty shell behind as a proof of a challenge accepted. This relationship had forced several works from threshold into making. I’ve attached a music score – sheet music arrangements for Violins and choir or vocal but as a concept I don’t have the lyrics embedded, this is only for musicians who care to collab, bringing their own vision of the composition.

**Blackbird (Ever Watching)**

Blackbird,
watching every step I make,
hearing every breath I take,
perched above the like shadosoul,
counting sins like hale drums.

Streetlight flickers in your eye,
you don’t sleep, you never lie,
feathers soaked in city smoke,
you remember every broken oath.

You trace the wounds beneath my skin,
you know the shape of everything within…

Blackbird, will you fly for help
when I call you by your name
in the city moans?

Blackbird,
will you fly with me
when my heart goes flat,
will you fly with me
to the other side?

Blackbird,
shadow stitched to every wall,
echo in the siren call,
you dance above the shattered glass,
a witness no one dares to ask.

Every whisper, every plea,
buried in your memory,
you carry secrets in your wings,
of broken crowns and fallen kings.

You circle close but never land,
a silent judge I can’t withstand…

Blackbird,
will you fly for help
when I call your name
in the city moans?

Blackbird,
will you fly with me
when my heart goes flat,
will you fly with me
to the other side?

If I fade into the underground,
if my voice will lose its breathe,
will you carve me in the sky
with your wings as I pass by?

If the dark takes hold of me,
are you jailer or the key?
Are you mercy dressed in night,
or the end of every light?

Blackbird…
ever seeing…
ever watching…
black shadow of the city…

Blackbird,
don’t just circle high,
come and take my hand
through the city moans.

Blackbird,
when the last light’s gone
and my pulse is still,
will you carry me
to the other side?

Blackbird…
when I’m gone…
will you still remember me?
Or just another shadow
in the city you keep…
